“The past was totally different for me, I was a boy; I had liberty, I was happy. Today I am confined to the wishes of my people and my family. I am aware that I have to change because of my environment, my family and Afghanistan. Of course, if there was a possibility I would like to go [back] to the past. I believe that families should let their girls have the liberty of choice and let them choose the way they dress.”
